Answers for buyers, sellers, and couriers using MKTPlace Couriers, our secure middleman service for local marketplace sales.
Q What is MKTPlace Couriers?
A secure middleman for local marketplace sales. We handle payments, communication, and delivery.
Q Where do you operate?
We currently serve Northern NJ, Central NJ, Southern NJ, Lehigh Valley.
Q Do I have to meet the buyer?
No. You only interact with the courier at pickup.
Q Do I have to re-list my item on your site?
No. You keep your original Facebook, Craigslist, or OfferUp listing live and just add our share link to it. Bringing over the details takes about 3 minutes.
Q How do I share my listing on Facebook if they don't allow links?
A short link (type it as plain text), a QR code (add it as your last photo), or a link-in-bio page (put it in your profile bio). All three lead buyers to our secure checkout.
Q What if I don't want to sell anymore?
Cancel the listing before a buyer purchases. Once a payment is held, you're committed to the sale.
Q What if the buyer rejects the item?
If the rejection is valid, the item stays with you and penalties apply. If invalid, the buyer forfeits their fees and the item stays with you.
Q How do I get paid?
After the buyer accepts the item (or the inspection window expires), funds go to your wallet. Withdraw via ACH (free) or Instant Pay (2.5% fee, funds arrive in minutes).
Q What if an item is damaged?
We use courier photos (pre-pickup and final) to resolve disputes fairly.
Q Can I change my tier?
Yes, from your dashboard at any time (upgrade takes effect immediately; downgrades apply once your current listing count fits the new plan's limit).
Q What if I have a lot of items to sell?
Consider upgrading to Tier 3 (Power Seller) or Pro Plus for a guaranteed minimum, unlimited listings, and marketing support.
Q Do I need to take good photos?
Yes. Listings with 5+ clear, well-lit photos sell noticeably faster.
Q What happens if I misrepresent the item?
You'll be charged a reposting fee and forfeit any payout. Repeat offenders are permanently banned.
Q Can I sell from anywhere in the US?
Currently Northern NJ, Central NJ, Southern NJ, Lehigh Valley. We're expanding. Join the waitlist to be notified.
Q Is my payment secure?
Yes. Your payment is held in a secure account until you accept the item (or the 5-minute window expires). The seller can't access it before that.
Q What if I don't respond in 5 minutes?
The item is auto-accepted and the courier proceeds with delivery. Set a phone reminder if you're not sure you'll be available.
Q Can I cancel an order?
You can cancel before a courier is assigned, and your payment hold is released so you aren't charged. Once a courier has been assigned, orders can't be cancelled. We don't offer refunds.
Q What if I reject the item?
The item stays with the seller, no delivery happens, and your payment hold is released so you aren't charged for the item.
Q How is the delivery fee calculated?
Based on the item's size, weight, and distance. Small items pay less, large or complex items pay more. The fee is shown at checkout before you pay.
Q Do you deliver inside my home?

Q Can I tip the courier?

Q What if I'm not home when the courier arrives?
The courier waits 15 minutes. After that, the item may be returned to storage and a redelivery fee may apply.
Q Can I return an item after I accept it?
No. Once you accept (or the inspection window expires), the sale is final. That's why the 5-minute inspection window exists, so you can reject before accepting.
Q What if the seller lies about the item's condition?
If the courier's pre-pickup photos show the item differs from the listing reject it within the 5-minute window. The item stays with the seller, you aren't charged for it, and the seller is penalized.
